Role Overview
We are looking for a technically skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to design, implement, and strengthen the security systems protecting LockedIn AI’s platform, AI infrastructure, cloud environments, and user data.

This is a hands-on security engineering role where you will work across application security, cloud security, infrastructure protection, threat detection, vulnerability management, and AI security.

You will help build security solutions that protect millions of career conversations, AI interactions, and sensitive user information. From securing cloud infrastructure to defending AI systems against emerging threats, your work will directly impact user trust and platform safety.

The ideal candidate understands modern security challenges in cloud-native and AI-powered environments. You can analyze vulnerabilities, build defensive systems, respond to incidents, and proactively improve security across the entire technology stack.

Key Responsibilities
Security Architecture & Engineering
Design and implement security architectures for applications, APIs, cloud infrastructure, AI systems, and data pipelines.
Build security solutions including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, WAFs, endpoint protection, and network security controls.
Implement zero-trust security principles, least-privilege access, and defense-in-depth strategies.
Develop identity and access management solutions including authentication, authorization, MFA, and privileged access controls.

Vulnerability Management & Security Testing
Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across applications, APIs, cloud systems, and AI infrastructure.
Identify, prioritize, and track security vulnerabilities through remediation.
Perform application security testing including API security reviews, authentication testing, and vulnerability scanning.
Create detailed security reports with risk analysis and remediation recommendations.

Cloud & Infrastructure Security
Secure cloud environments across AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Implement security best practices for networking, storage, IAM, encryption, and cloud services.
Harden container environments using Docker and Kubernetes security practices.
Manage secrets, certificates, encryption keys, and secure access systems.

Security Monitoring & Incident Response
Build security monitoring and detection systems using SIEM, logging, and alerting platforms.
Develop detection rules and automated security responses.
Investigate security incidents and coordinate response activities.
Maintain incident response plans, security documentation, and operational procedures.

AI Security
Protect AI infrastructure including model endpoints, training data, vector databases, and LLM integrations.
Identify and mitigate AI-specific security risks such as prompt injection, adversarial attacks, model extraction, and data leakage.
Implement security controls for AI model access, authentication, monitoring, and auditing.
Monitor AI systems for suspicious activity and security anomalies.

Compliance & Security Operations
Support security compliance initiatives including SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and CCPA readiness.
Develop security policies, standards, and procedures.
Maintain security documentation, risk assessments, and audit records.
Promote security awareness across engineering and product teams.

Required Qualifications
Experience
3+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, application security, or related security roles.
Experience building and operating security systems in production environments.
Hands-on experience with cloud security, infrastructure protection, and application security.
Experience collaborating with engineering and product teams.

Technical Skills
Strong programming skills in Python, Bash, Go, or similar languages.
Experience securing AWS, GCP, or Azure environments.
Knowledge of IAM, networking, encryption, security monitoring, and cloud security practices.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes security.
Familiarity with security tools including vulnerability scanners, SIEM platforms, and security testing tools.
Understanding of compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, and CCPA.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience securing AI/ML systems and LLM-powered applications.
Knowledge of AI security risks and frameworks such as OWASP Top 10 for LLMs, MITRE ATLAS, or NIST AI RMF.
Experience with secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC) and DevSecOps practices.
Background in penetration testing, red teaming, or threat modeling.
Experience with digital forensics and advanced threat detection.
Experience working in startups or fast-growing technology companies.
