Olmsted County is seeking an Intern – Environmental Resources Communications to work in Rochester, MN.

Minimum Qualifications of Education and Experience
Actively enrolled in a university or college public relations, public affairs, marketing, advertising, communications, project management, business management or related program.
Graduation from an accredited college within the last six (6) months.

Nature of Work
Under general supervision, assists with recycling and waste management related education projects, such as research and data collection, implementing a multi-family recycling program, education and outreach events, and the development of informational materials for public consumption. Assists with project research, promotion and event planning, project logistics including timelines, tracking outcomes & milestones, compiles information and drafts feature stories and web content, and assists other staff with projects as needed.

All work is performed under the direction of a supervisor with work assignments that are designed to provide a meaningful technical, trade and/or professional training experience while completing daily and special project workloads that are related to academic studies and/or career goals.
